Abandoned ( English for. Ownerless , left ) is a company incorporated in 1999 German thrash metal band formed by gigs with Tankard and Destruction became known.
history
The band was founded in 1999 by the two guitarists Eric “Kalli” Kaldschmid (Revenant) and Holger “Holg” Ziegler (Good Vibrations), who initially wrote their first songs on their own. In the spring of 2000, the two met drummer Konrad "Conny" Cartini (ex-47 million dollars) and engaged him. In the same year the three of them recorded the demo Forcefed in Kaldschmid's studio "Black Sound".
Through an advertisement in a music exchange in 2001, the current bass player Günter "Günt" Auschrat ( The New Black ) became aware of. In 2004 the quartet recorded the EP Misanthrope , which the heavy metal magazine Rock Hard named “Demo of the Month” April.
By winning the "SimEvil" contest, the band played at the 2005 Rock Hard Festival . This also brought appearances at the Wacken Open Air and the Earthshaker Festival . Abandoned was signed by the Dockyard 1 / Soulfood label and recorded their debut album Thrash Notes , which was released in February 2006, in a Hamburg studio . In the same year appearances at the Bang Your Head festival, with Nevermore , Raven and Beyond Fear .
In 2007 the second album Thrash You! Recorded and published in the "Kohlkeller-Studio" under the direction of Kristian Kohlmannslehner .
In 2008 guitarist Holger Ziegler and drummer Konrad Cartini left the band and were replaced by guitarist Fabian Schwarz ( Runamok , The New Black , Ex- Stormwitch , Ex- Paradox ) and drummer Sven "Zwänn" Vormann (Ex- Destruction ). The latter left the band at the beginning of 2009 for professional reasons. Jan S. Mischon, who jumped in at concerts at the end of 2008 and had previously played drums with Courageous , replaced him.
