Runamok is a Bavarian thrash metal band from Remlingen , which was founded in 2003.

history

The band was formed in 2003 by guitarist and singer Fabian "Fabs" Schwarz ( The New Black , Abandoned , Ex- Stormwitch , Ex- Paradox , Ex. Fallen 2 Pieces), guitarist Oliver Kaufmann (Ex- Tyran 'Pace ), drummer Mario Schmitt (Ex-Fallen 2 Pieces) and bassist Freddy Schartl ( Apokrypha ) founded. Together they developed the first songs, released a demo in 2003 and in early 2004 their debut album Make My Day . During the first eight months the band also played concerts with Exodus , Tankard and Mechanix . At the end of 2004 the next album followed, which was called Back for Revenge . The clown on the cover would later become the band's trademark, just like their hard Thrash sound, which is clearly based on the sounds of the Bay Area.

In 2005 the third album was released with Dance of the Dead . On this one could hear the brother of Fabian Schwarz with Dominik Schwarz on bass. After the release, singer Michael “Jimmy” Imhof joined the band, so that Fabian Schwarz could concentrate fully on his guitar playing. At that time Schwarz joined the band Paradox , but left after a year. There he met drummer Chris Weiss. Weiss later replaced drummer Mario Schmitt. The already finished album Freak Business was recorded again and released in 2007 on Mausoleum Records .

At the end of 2009 the fifth album Electric Shock was released .

style

The band plays classic Thrash Metal, which is comparable to the music of Megadeth , Annihilator and Testament .
