Abdelmalek Rahou (* 17th March 1986 ) is an Algerian boxer in the middleweight division .

Boxing career

In 2010 he won the bronze medal at the World Combat Games in Beijing and in 2011 the gold medal at the Arab Championships in Doha and the African Championships in Yaoundé . He was then admitted to the African Olympic qualification in Casablanca , where he achieved third place and thus qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London . There he defeated the Australian Jesse Ross in the preliminary round, but then retired in the round of 16 against the Japanese and later Olympic champion Ryota Murata .

In October 2013 he started at the World Championships in Almaty , but lost there in the second preliminary round against Anthony Fowler from England.
