Abesch-imi-duat is an ancient Egyptian deity from the Amduat . In the New Kingdom , the deity Abesch is also recorded as a snake deity .

As an epithet , Abesch also served as the title of the crocodile god Sobek. In Kom Ombo , the deity Abesh is also mentioned as a sacred snake. In addition, a triad of gods is iconographically mentioned in the context of a barque , which is represented in the form of a person with bull and crocodile heads. A clear identification with the responsible deities is not possible due to the sparse finds.

In addition, the diagonal star clocks contain the writing of the deity Abesch in connection with the dean Sebeschsen and the constellation Abesches . With regard to the Min festival , Abesh also embodies a snake deity in the representations in Medinet Habu in a song in honor of the god Min .
