The Abitur exams take place after the fourth half of the qualification phase. Three subjects are examined in writing, including two exams in the two selected advanced courses.

Oral exams

The fourth exam is oral. You also have the option of being examined voluntarily in a 5th examination in the form of a special learning achievement.

Abitur grade

The Abitur grade is made up of the achievements achieved during the course and in the Abitur exams.

Block I - Results from the qualification phase

A total of 40 half-year performances must be brought in here. The first 3 semesters of the two advanced courses are counted twice. At least 200 of a maximum of 600 possible points must be achieved in this block in order to pass the Abitur.

Block II - Results from the Abitur examination

All results of the Abitur examination are included in the Abitur grade and are scored four times if 5 Abitur exams have been passed. If the 5th examination in the form of the special learning achievement has not been taken, the four results are each scored five times. At least 100 of a maximum of 300 possible points must be achieved in the Abitur exams to pass.

The total number of points is obtained by adding both blocks and converting this into the Abitur grade using the point table.
