Abramów is a Polish village in the Lubartowski powiat in the Lublin Voivodeship . It is also the seat of the rural community of the same name .
geography
The village is located about 30 km northwest of Lublin and 21 km west of Lubartów in the center of the Lubartowska plateau.
history
The village is said to have existed at the time of Casimir the Great and belonged to the royal property. On the decree of Tsar Alexander II , communities were formed. Abramów belonged, with 17 other villages, to the Marcinowie estate under its then name Jabramowskiego . The village was largely destroyed by acts of war during the First World War. In 1925 a parish church was built in Abramów. After a fire destroyed the parish hall in Wielkie , the administration was moved to Abramów in 1948.
In 1945 the place became the seat of a municipality. In a fire, the records relating to the early years of the community were burnt. Between 1954 and 1972 the village belonged to Gromada Abramów and had its registered office. From 1975 to 1998 the village belonged to the Lublin Region .
