The Academy Glacier is a large glacier in Queen Elizabeth Land, West Antarctica . In the Pensacola Mountains, it flows northwest between the Patuxent Range and the Neptune Range to the Foundation Ice Stream .
The area was mapped by the United States Geological Survey and United States Navy aerial photographs from 1955 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after the National Academy of Sciences , which had played a crucial role in the development of the US research program in Antarctica .
