Achaz von Saldern

Achaz Hugo Max Berndt von Saldern (* July 8, 1881 in Klein-Mantel , † August 3, 1962 in Schulenburg (Leine) ) was a German administrative officer and manor owner.

Life

Achaz von Saldern was the son of the manor owner and parliamentarian Werner von Saldern and Elisabeth born. from Gerlach. After attending grammar school in Wernigerode , he studied law and political science at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In 1901 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . He served as a one-year volunteer in the Hussar Regiment "King Wilhelm I." (1st Rheinisches) No. 7 . After his legal clerkship in Diez , he became a member of the government in Wroclaw . From 1918 to 1922 he was district administrator for the district of Habelschwerdt .

Von Saldern was the owner of the manor Wilsnack and Prussian cavalry master. He was married to Dorothea von Niebelschütz from the Metschlau house. They had six sons and two daughters. After the Second World War , the land reform expropriated it. By order of the district administrator of October 6, 1945, he and his family were expelled from the Westprignitz district . From then on he lived in Schulenburg (Leine). In 1947 he was awarded the honorary patronage of the Bad Wilsnack parish.
