Achim Kleinlein

Achim Kleinlein (* 1962 in Kassel ) is a German oratorio and opera singer (lyric tenor ).

Life

Achim Kleinlein initially received his training as a church musician at the Hanover University of Music and Theater . The singer received his concert exam with James Wagner at the Lübeck University of Music . Master classes took him to Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf , and Norman Shetler in song singing.

The singer began his stage career at the Mecklenburg State Theater Schwerin and the stages of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck as a lyrical Mozart tenor, a. a. as Tamino in the Magic Flute or as Belmonte in the Abduction from the Seraglio by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart . Contemporary operas such as The Emperor of Atlantis by Victor Ullmann are also part of his repertoire.

His main focus, however, is on art songs and oratorios . Kleinlein is a regular guest at international festivals. In particular, the interpretation of the evangelist roles by Johann Sebastian Bach led the tenor to international appearances, mainly in Europe, but also to Israel and the USA.
