Achraf Baznani

Achraf Baznani ( Arabic أشرف بزناني, DMG Ašraf Baznānī ; * 1979 in Marrakech ) is a Moroccan conceptual artist , filmmaker and photographer .

Life

Achraf Baznani is a self-taught photographer . As a teenager he was given a compact Ektra 250 for his birthday and has been passionate about photography ever since.

He made several short films and documentaries, including On in 2006, The Forgotten in 2007 and The Immigrant in 2007, for which he received several national and international awards. As a result, he decided to focus entirely on photography and took a surrealist approach.

Several artists such as André Breton , Salvador Dalí , Tim Burton , David Lynch and others influenced his work.
