Achrik Sokratowitsch Zweiba ( Russian Ахрик Сократович Цвейба ; Ukrainian А́хрік Сократович Цве́йба ; born  September 10, 1966 in Gudauta , Abkhazian ASSR ) is a former football player of Abkhaz origin.

Zweiba played for the Soviet national team , for the selection of the CIS , as well as for the Ukrainian and Russian national teams .

Zweiba began his career in the youth team of FK Dinamo Sukhum , after a brief stint at SKA Khabarovsk , the defender played from 1985 to 1989 with Dinamo Tbilisi in the top division of the Soviet Union, the Wysschaja Liga . In 1990 Zweiba moved to the top team Dynamo Kiev and won the Soviet championship and the Soviet cup with Kiev that season . Zweiba was used in the cup final, which Dynamo won 6-1 against Lokomotiv Moscow . In 1991 he was voted Ukrainian Footballer of the Year .

Zweiba played in 1993 for a few months in the Russian Supreme League for Kamas Naberezhnye Tschelny , then he moved to Gamba Osaka in Japan in 1994 , for which he played a total of 75 games. After he started in 1997 for Alania Wladikawkas in the top Russian league, Zweiba moved to China in 1998 for a year to Qianwei (Vanguard) Huandao . He completed the 1999 and 2000 seasons for FC Uralan Elista again in the Russian Premier League . After the 2001 season, which Zweiba played for Dynamo Moscow, he went briefly to the Cypriot club AEK Larnaka , but then ended his active career.

Zweiba first played for the Soviet national team in February 1990 . He was also in the Soviet squad at the 1990 World Cup in Italy , but was not used during this tournament. In 1992 he took part in the European Championship in Sweden with the CIS team and played in the preliminary rounds against Germany and the Netherlands . Although he had already played an international match for Ukraine in November 1992, Zweiba played a total of eight times for the Russian national team in 1997 .
