The Adoption Act ( AdVermiG ) regulates the adoption agency and the prohibition of surrogate motherhood in Germany .

In the first section, sections 1 to 13 contain regulations on adoption placement. In the second section, sections 13a to 13d contain regulations on the prohibition of substitute maternity and placement services. The third section includes provisions on penalties and fines in Sections 14 and 14b. In the fourth section, Sections 15 and 16 contain transitional provisions.

According to Section 68 No. 12 SGB ​​I, the law is a special component of the Social Security Code and is to be classified there in the long term.
