Adalbert Konstantin von Briesen ( Polish: Wojciech Konstanty Breza ; * after 1623; † 1698 ) was a royal Polish Starost , voivode and senator and friend of the Great Elector .

Adalbert Konstantin was a son of Titus Mikołaj Breza († 1657) and Zofia Żychlińska herb Szeliga († after 1662) and thus grandson of Ernst von Briesen and Barbara von Schöneich († after 1635) as well as the great-nephew of Christoph von Briesen auf Zibelle .

Briesen was the first influential member of his gender in Greater Poland . In 1657 he was the kitchen master of the Polish queen, in 1658 the hunter of Posen and in 1661 the starost of Nowy Dwór. Between 1661 and 1678 he was a member of the Sejm ten times . In 1673 he was sent to Sweden as a Polish envoy . Since 1677 he was the opponent of the Polish King John III in the camp . Sobieski . However, in 1681 he was reconciled with the king, for which he was confirmed the dignity of the castellan of Posen, which he held from 1680 until 1687. In 1684 he became ambassador to the court in Berlin . As early as 1667 he was voivode of Kalisch , which he remained until 1692. Finally, in 1692 he was also able to become voivode of Poznan. He stayed in this position until his death. As a voivode, he was automatically also a Polish senator in the Sejm.

Briesen entered into three marriages in succession. First he married Countess Katharina Hedwig Dönhoff (* after 1629; † around 1668), a daughter of Count Gerhard Dönhoff . A second marriage followed with Konstancja Anna Weiher († 1679/1681), a widowed daughter of the voivode of Kulm Count Mikołaj Weiher. Finally, after the second wife had died, he married Teresa Konstancja Opalińska herb Łodzia (* 1645; † 1703) on November 25, 1688 , a daughter of the Poznan voivod Krzysztof Opaliński , who was also already widowed .
