Adalbert Rückerl

Adalbert Rückerl (* 1925 in Munich ; † July 6, 1986 ) was a German public prosecutor . He was the head of the central office of the state justice administrations for the investigation of National Socialist crimes in Ludwigsburg .

Life

Rückerl was born in Munich as the son of a family of civil servants who originally came from the Upper Palatinate. After graduating from high school, he did military service in the Wehrmacht from 1943 and became a prisoner of war in 1945. In 1946 he began studying law and political science at the University of Munich . With the thesis "The property conveyance in Munich city Law" doctorate he 1951 Dr. jur. .

After passing the second state examination, he first worked as a public prosecutor in Munich and Bielefeld . In May 1961 he was seconded to the Central Office of the State Justice Administration for the investigation of National Socialist crimes in Ludwigsburg and, from 1966, headed it, promoted to senior public prosecutor, for 18 years. On February 29, 1984, he retired for health reasons. He died two years later.
