Adam Berberich

Adam Berberich (born November 1, 1914 in Schnappach ; † March 25, 2001 in Villingen-Schwenningen ) was a German SPD politician .

Life

After several years of imprisonment after the end of the Second World War , Adam Berberich joined the SPD immediately after his return . He was elected to the works council and was involved in IG Metall , in which he was also elected chairman of the Villingen district.

Berberich was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg from 1972 . In the state elections in 1972 he was narrowly defeated by his opponent, later Prime Minister Erwin Teufel , and therefore entered the state parliament with a second mandate . There he was a member of the Petitions Committee. After his re-election in 1976, he was appointed to the Presidium of the State Parliament. For reasons of age, Berberich did not run for the state elections in 1980, but remained voluntarily and politically active until the end of his life, for example as chairman of the district seniors' council in his home town of Villingen-Schwenningen. Berberich had a very good relationship with members of all parliamentary groups, especially with the former Prime Minister Lothar Späth , which is why he was respected and respected across all parliamentary groups.

Adam Berberich was a married father of one daughter.
