Adam Hopkins

Adam Hopkins (* around 1985 in Baltimore ) is an American jazz and improvisation musician ( double bass , composition ).

Adam Hopkins, who comes from Baltimore , worked in the New York jazz and improvisation scene a. a. with Dave Ballou , Kate Gentile , Kirk Knuffke and Josh Sinton in formations such as BeepHonk , Ideal Bread , Signal Problems , Trumpets and Basses and Party Pack ICE , also in Jasmine Lovell-Smith's Towering Poppies and Patrick Breiner ’s Double Double. In 2018, Hopkins released the album Crickets (Out of Your Head) under his own name , on which Anna Webber , Ed Rosenberg and Josh Sinton (saxophones), Jonathan Goldberger (guitar) and Devin Gray (drums) had collaborated. Hopkins lives in Brooklyn, where he performs with his own formations.
