Adam Jessin

Adam Jessin (born August 4, 1793 in Schönberg (Holstein) ; † July 18, 1874 ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Life

Adam Jessin was born the son of a businessman . He attended the Katharineum in Lübeck until Easter 1812 and began studying theology at Kiel University in 1812 . He later moved to the University of Göttingen . At first he wanted to work academically , but was elected deacon in his hometown in 1819. He was installed as a pastor in Elmschenhagen in 1829. Later, in addition to his pastoral office, he also dealt with church history .
