Adam Johnson (born January 31, 1965 in Laguna Beach, California ) is a retired American volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Adam Johnson played indoor volleyball with the Trojans, a team from the University of Southern California , in the 1980s . From 1988 to 1989 he was also a member of the US national team . From 1988 to 2000 Adam Johnson played beach volleyball successfully on the AVP Tour and from 1993 also internationally on the FIVB World Tour . The highlight here was the victory at the FIVB Open in Rio de Janeiro in 1993 with Kent Steffes . Adam Johnson finished fifth with Karch Kiraly at the 1997 World Championships in Los Angeles and 1999 in Marseille . After an injury in 2001 he became the trainer and director of the Adam Johnson Volleyball Club in Austin (Texas) .

Adam Johnson is married to Jennifer. The two have a son and a daughter.
