Adam Richman (born May 16, 1974 in Brooklyn, New York , USA ) is an American actor. In Germany, the show Damned Yummy! Lookup for Adam Richman known on DMAX .

Life

Adam Richman comes from a Jewish family and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He attended Midwood High School and then began studying at Emory University in Atlanta , Georgia . He later received his Masters from the Yale School of Drama.

Career

His acting career began with guest roles in Springfield Story , All My Children and Law & Order . He played God (as a butcher) in episode 14 of the first season of The Heavenly Joan . He has also appeared in regional theater productions and in various advertising programs.

As a self-proclaimed “food expert”, he started the reality TV series Damn Yummy! Reference for Adam Richman (Original: Man v. Food on Travel Channel ), which has been broadcast on DMAX since 2010.

In the series, Richman went to restaurants in various parts of the United States and presented specialties from each region. At the end of each episode, Richman took part in a challenge , an eating contest , e.g. B. the eating of 180 oysters, 2.5 kg pizza or giant burgers, where he tries to enter the record lists of the respective restaurants. Often he even succeeded in doing this. If he had the opportunity to prepare for his eating contest, he said he hadn't eaten any or hardly any food for a day and drank plenty of water to stretch his stomach.

Richman announced on January 27, 2012 on his Facebook page that he wanted to withdraw from the format. He did not give any reasons for his withdrawal. Production of the show was then discontinued after four seasons.

Since 2014 Richman can be seen in the similar format "Adam Richman - Hunters of Ultimate Taste" (Original: "Man finds Food" / since season 2: "Secret Eats with Adam Richman").
