Adam Touray

Adam Touray (born May 31, 1994 ) is a German basketball player . The 2.06 meter tall indoor player (center) is part of the squad of the Bundesliga club MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg .

Career

Touray's father comes from Gambia , his mother from Germany . He began his basketball club career at UBC Münster and was in the squad of Münster's first men's team in the 1st Regionalliga West for the first time during the 2012/13 season. At the same time he was active with a double license in Quakenbrück and distinguished himself as a top performer of the Artland Dragons U19 team in the youth basketball league . In the 2013/14 season he was registered by the Quakenbrücker Verein for assignments in the international Eurocup competition , but did not play a game for the "Dragons", but continued to gain experience in the Münster regional league team.

In the summer of 2015 Touray left his hometown club UBC Münster and accepted an offer from the Bundesliga club Mitteldeutscher BC . He came to five short missions in the 2015/16 BBL season, which ended with the relegation of the "Wolves". Touray was mostly used in the regional league team of MBC's cooperation partner BG Bitterfeld-Sandersdorf-Wolfen 06 . At the beginning of August 2016, he signed a two-year contract with BG Bitterfeld-Sandersdorf-Wolfen 06 and, as a training player, continued to be a member of the MBC squad. In the 2016/17 season he made two appearances in the ProA for MBC and thus contributed to winning the championship title and promotion to the Bundesliga.

In the run-up to the 2017/18 season, Touray moved to ETB Essen in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB and one year later joined FC Schalke 04 , which had previously been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA . With 11.4 points per game, Touray was Schalke's third-best scorer in the 2nd Bundesliga ProA in the 2018/19 season, and he also achieved an average of 6.9 rebounds per match, which was the team's highest.

During the summer break of 2020, he signed a contract with Bundesliga club MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg .
