Adam Weiner (born March 28, 1975 in Gdynia , Poland ) is a Polish national handball player .

Career

society

Adam Weiner started playing handball at Wybrzeże Gdańsk . There he was Polish junior champion and made his debut in the Polish first division. In 1997 he moved to SV Anhalt Bernburg in the German regional league. In 1999 he moved on to the league competitor Wilhelmshavener HV , with whom he rose to the 2nd handball Bundesliga in 2000 and in the 1st handball Bundesliga in 2002. Weiner and his team managed to stay in the league five times; in 2008, however, they were relegated. For the 2008/09 season Weiner moved to Frisch Auf Göppingen , where he signed a contract that was valid until 2011. With FA Göppingen, he won the EHF Cup in 2011 . In the 2011/2012 season he played for TSV Hannover-Burgdorf . After drawing attention to himself in 2013/14 with good performances for the second team in the 3rd division, he moved again to the Wilhelmshaven HV for the 2014/15 season. With the Wilhelmshavenern he rose to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2015. After the 2016/17 season he ended his career and became goalkeeping coach at Wilhelmshavener HV. In January and February 2018, he again guarded the gate of the third division team HF Springe .

National team

Weiner played 57 international matches for the Polish national team . At the men's handball world championship in 2007 in Germany he was runner-up, while at the European handball championship in Norway in 2008 he was eliminated after the main round.
