Adamski (2015)

Adamski [ ədæmski ] or Adam Sky [ ædəm skaɪ ] (*  4. December 1967 in Lymington, Hampshire, England; actually Adam Tinley ) is a British Dance - musician and producer . According to his own biography, Tinley derived his stage name from UFO researcher George Adamski .

Life

Adamski had his most successful period in the early 1990s at the height of the acid house movement. In January 1990 his first single NRG was released , which immediately reached number 12 in the UK charts . The successor single Killer , which was created together with Seal and heralded its international breakthrough, rose to number 1 in April 1990 and stayed there for four weeks. The song was also an international hit and was successfully covered by George Michael three years later .

In the fall of 1990, Adamski's debut album Doctor Adamski's Musical Pharmacy was also released .

On his follow-up album Naughty , Adamski developed his style further in the direction of pop and rock . In addition to numerous club hits, the track Get Your Body! to be found on the album to which Nina Hagen lent her voice. However, commercially this album was not a success.

Adamski switched to the record label ZTT Records and released his third album Adamski's Thing there in late 1998 , which continued the style of the previous album . Two singles Intravenous Venus and One of the People were released from the album .

In 2000 Tinley produced his last single under the pen name Adamski. The song In the City reached the Italian charts, but was quite unsuccessful elsewhere. Shortly thereafter, Tinley adopted a new stage name and has since produced as Adam Sky.

In 2011 he released as Adamski a modernized version of his hit Killer called Killer 2011 and two new remixes.
