Killer is a song written by Adamski and Seal . The single Killer with Adamski as producer and Seal as singer was released in March 1990 and brought him the breakthrough in the music market. It reached # 1 in the UK and other high rankings in other countries. In Germany, the single came to number 2.

The piece is u. a. also as part of the soundtrack to the film Fists - You Must Fight for Your Right to hear it. The song finds u. a. also used in the video game Forza Horizon 3 .

The title Bassline Changed My Life contained on the single is a fairly free instrumental version of the post-disco classic Last Night a DJ Saved My Life by Indeep .

Just a year later, Seal released his own version and also hit the charts. George Michaels 'interpretation, recorded live during a performance at Wembley Arena , was used together with the seamlessly subsequent Papa Was a Rollin' Stone for his mini-album Five Live , released together with Queen in 1993, and in the same year combined into a medley and as Single released. In 2012, singer Mic Donet performed the medley during the casting show The Voice of Germany . This version reached number 76 in the German charts through subsequent download sales .

Further cover versions were made by ATB (1999, single, DE # 31), Freiland (1999, track A2 of the single Schwarz ), Angel Dust (2002, album Of Human Bondage ), Sugababes (2003, B-side of the single Shape ) and Sons and Daughters (2007, b-side of the single Gilt Complex ) released.
