Adda from Königsegg

Adda von Königsegg (born November 7, 1872 in Karschau , Kr. Rastenburg , East Prussia ; † November 12, 1945 in Güstrow , Mecklenburg ) was a German nurse and writer .

Life

As the daughter of a landowner, she became a St. John's sister . During the First World War she was in charge of the soldiers' homes , later in Königsberg (Prussia) the home of Evangelical Women's Aid . She was chairwoman of the Johanniter Sisterhood of the Prussian Cooperative of the Order of St. John .

Already in her 20s she developed a lively and varied writing activity. She wrote essays about the Königsbergers Johann Georg Scheffner , Johanna Motherby , Wilhelm Traugott Krug , Johann Georg Madeweiss and Ludwig Nicolovius .

While fleeing from East Prussia, she died of an infection in Güstrow .
