Adele Diederich

Adele Diederich (* 1955 ) is a German psychologist .

Life

Diederich completed her studies at the Universities of Regensburg and Oldenburg , where she obtained her diploma in psychology in 1985 . In 1991 she did her doctorate at the University of Hamburg and in 1996 she completed her habilitation at the University of Oldenburg.

From 1986 to 1988 she worked as a research assistant at the University of Hamburg and from 1989 to 1991 at Purdue University . From 1992 to 1994 she was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oldenburg, where she represented the Chair of General Psychology from 1997 to 1998 . Since 2002 she has been a professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Jacobs University in Bremen .

From 2003 to 2004 she was President of the Society for Mathematical Psychology. Since 2012 Diederich has been an appointed member of the work group prioritization in the health system of the German Medical Association . She is the editor of the Journal of Mathematical Psychology .

Research priorities

Diederich's focus is on the mathematical modeling of cognitive processes (primarily in decision-making and in perception ) and the experimental verification of these models. She also researches criteria and preferences in the prioritization of medical services .
