Adile Naşit (real name: Adile Keskiner; born June 17, 1930 in Istanbul ; † December 11, 1987 ibid) was one of the most popular comedians in Turkey. She was a theater player and actress. She was also known in Turkey by the nickname Adile Teyze ( Aunt Adile ).

family

As the daughter of a Turkish comedian and a theater actress of Armenian descent, Adile Naşit was born into a family of artists. Her father Naşit Bey became famous as "the man who makes Sultan Abdülhamid laugh" and later received the Ottoman award for comedian Komik-i Şehir ( the comedian of the city (Istanbul)) In 1950, Adile Naşit married the theater actor Ziya Keskiner. From this marriage their son Ahmet was born. Her son died of a hole in his heart in 1966. In the same year, Adile Naşit's mother, Amelya Hanım, also died.

Adile Naşit spent her childhood with her brother Selim Naşit, who was also a famous actor, behind the theater . In 1944, after the death of her father, she dropped out of school and joined the Children's Theater of the Istanbul City Theater ( İstanbul Şehir Tiyatroları Çocuk Tiyatrosu ).

Their first major performances had adile naşit in Istanbul tour of the theater game Herşeyden biraz ( in every way ) with the halide-Pişkin theater group. Then and 1954-1960 she worked in the Muammer Karaca group. 1948–1951 she worked with the famous theater and actors Aziz Basmacı and Vahi Öz in a theater group. With her husband Ziya Keskiner and her brother Selim Naşit, she formed her own theater group, which, however, disbanded in 1961. From 1963 to 1975 she worked continuously in the Gazanfer Özcan-Gönül Ülkü-Theater.

Adile Naşit stood in front of the camera for the first time in 1947 at the age of 17 for the film Yara ( Wound ) by Seyfi Havaeri. She also worked in 1948 in the film Lüküs Hayat ( luxury living with), but her real career began as one of the most popular actresses of Turkey in the 1970s.

In 1976 she received the award for Best Actress at the Antalya Film Festival (Golden Orange / Altın Portakal) for her role in İşte Hayat ( This is Life ). One of her unforgettable roles is her role as boarding school assistant in the classic film series Hababam Sınıfı (The Chaotic Class).

Naşit mostly played in comedies by Ertem Eğilmez and Kartal Tibet . In almost all her films she played the role of the kind-hearted, not particularly intelligent, naive grandma, mother, wife or wife.

From 1980 Naşit told the children bedtime stories as Masalci Teyze ( The Aunt Telling Fairy Tales ) in the TRT children's program Uykudan önce ( Before going to bed ) .

Adile Naşit died of cancer on December 11, 1987. It is in the Zincirlikuyu cemetery in Istanbul.

In 2005 Tamer İpek shot Adile Teyze ve Kuzucuklar ( Aunt Adile and the lambs ), with which he “revived” Adile Naşit using 3D computer animation. Kuzucuklar / Lammchen was the name Naşit used to address her viewers, the children, in her program. In this film, Adile Naşit tells the children stories in the tradition of Uykudan önce . The private broadcaster Kanal D broadcast this film in 2005 as a weekly series for children.
