The Adler Trumpf Junior is a small car that Adlerwerke has been producing in series since 1934 . The car had front-wheel drive like the larger model, the Adler Trumpf , but an engine with just under 1 liter displacement. The modern construction was designed by Hans Gustav Röhr . The 1G model had been sold 24,013 times by 1935.
78,827 vehicles of the improved successor model 1E were built between 1936 and 1941. After the Second World War , this car, in an improved form, was to help the Adlerwerke to restart car manufacturing. After two prototypes with bodies from Wendler and Karmann had been created in 1948 , the management decided to only manufacture motorcycles in future. The prototypes were scrapped.
