The Adlerhorn is a mountain in the Valais Alps , in the area of the municipality of Zermatt , and belongs to the Allalin group . Its summit is 3988 m . The Eagle Glacier begins on its north flank, the Findel Glacier on its south side . The Adlerhorn is often seen as an extension of the Strahlhorn, but is a peak in its own right. Seen from the west it can hardly be distinguished from the Strahlhorn . It is on the ascent route from Zermatt via the Berghaus Flue to the Strahlhorn.
