Adolf Barth

Adolf Franz Barth (born November 26, 1852 in Alsleben , † January 28, 1936 in Leipzig ) was a German medic .

Life

From 1874 Barth studied medicine at the universities of Bonn , Marburg and Strasbourg ; former doctorate him in 1879 to Doctor , which Barth completed his studies. During his studies in Bonn in 1876 he became a member of the Medical and Natural Science Association , which later became the Landsmannschaft Marksburgia .

In 1890 he received an appointment as associate professor for ear, nose and throat diseases at the University of Marburg . In this position, he moved to the University of Breslau in 1895 and finally to the University of Leipzig in 1896 . There he was initially also an associate professor, and from 1922 to 1924 first full professor. In Leipzig he lived at Salomonstrasse 3.

He married a baroness from the old Lindau patrician family Ruepprecht in Lindau on June 22, 1891 .
