History of the individual fusion links

Today's Landsmannschaft Salia was created after the Second World War from the merger and continuation of the tradition of various associations, the individual fates of which are shown below.

Beginnings 1847–1885

On May 17, 1847, the "Royal Higher Agricultural Training Institute" was opened at the University of Bonn . On November 1, 1847, the Association of Studying Farmers in Poppelsdorf was founded. The purpose of this association was to establish connections between lecturers and students. In the first ten years there were no statutes and every student was automatically a member of the association.

In October 1860 the agricultural college was given the nickname "Academy". From then on, the association was called the Academic-Agricultural Association (ALV). For the 50th anniversary of Bonn University in 1868, the first flag in the colors blue-white-red was purchased in order to be able to appear as a closed and organized association. The association became official on November 20, 1873 when statutes , rules of procedure and Kneipcomment were printed . The two principles of friendship and sociability as well as the cultivation of science were supplemented by that of unconditional satisfaction with the weapon.

On June 5, 1885, disputes between farmers and cultivators finally led to a break. In a great dispute, a party was split up into a party made up exclusively of farmers and another made up of cultural technicians, geodesists and a small number of farmers. The party of cultural technicians initially retained the name Academic-Agricultural Association for the next two years , the group of pure farmers was called after the separation Academic-Agricultural Association Agraria .

Agraria 1885-1935

After the establishment of the Academic-Agricultural Association Agraria in 1885 , the association's statutes were approved by the university. Agraria used the colors black-red-light blue . From 1903 it was called Academic-Agricultural Association Agraria , before developing into Corps Agraria in 1922 . On February 4, 1930, the name Rhine Prussia was adopted and approved by the rector of the university. In 1931 the technical principle fell and Corps Rheinpreußen was from now on a corporation at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität and no longer just at the agricultural college. In the Third Reich , the Corps Rheinpreußen dissolved in 1935; its members later reunited in the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt comradeship .

Salia 1885-1936

After the Academic-Agricultural Association was renamed Geodätisch-Kulturtechnischer Verein in 1890 and in 1893 as Freischlagende connection Salia , the Landsmannschaft Salia joined the German Landsmannschaft in 1907 . After the dissolution in 1936, the members of the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt comradeship came together again. The Salia carried the colors light blue-white-red .

Agronomia 1913-1936

After ALV Agraria left the Association of Academic Agricultural Associations at German Universities , this association tried to gain a foothold at the Agricultural Academy again.

In the winter semester 1912/13 this led to the establishment of the ALV Agronomia Bonn with the colors black-green-red and the principles of cultivating friendship and unconditional satisfaction . The official founding date was January 1, 1913. A good relationship with Agraria developed from the start. After the end of the First World War, the name was changed to Academic-Agricultural Association Agronomia in 1919 . In April 1929, the conversion to the corps was proclaimed in the Naumburg Seniors' Convent .

Corps Agronomia Bonn 1928

Under the influence of the National Socialists, changes occurred in the corps: In the summer semester of 1933, Aktivitas joined the Nazi German Student Union . On March 1, 1936, the suspension was finally decided.

Marksburgia 1873-1936

On May 10, 1873, the Medical and Natural Science Association (MNV) was founded. In 1875 he received corporation rights in the Bonn student body and used the colors red-gold-violet as well as coats of arms and circles. In 1929 he joined the German Landsmannschaft (DL) with the new name Landsmannschaft Marksburgia and the Marksburg as a symbol. On March 31, 1936, this was also dissolved. A large number of the old men joined the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt comradeship .

Prussia (Koenigsberg) 1909–1936

After the First World War, most of the corporation associations at Königsberg University re- established themselves . Only the DL was not represented by a federal government. On January 9, 1920, after great efforts by the DL-Inactive Association, an active country team called Prussia was founded in Königsberg . She used the colors black-white-black and the motto German and true . The founding boys were fellow countrymen from all parts of Germany.

On April 1, 1930, Prussia merged with the former RSC-Corps Palaio-Borussia with the colors white-black-white and from then on ran a four-color ribbon in black-white-black-white and a black flat cap . April 3, 1909 was set as the foundation date (foundation of Palaio-Borussia). The Landsmannschaft Prussia was suspended with effect from March 1, 1936 and dissolved on May 1 of the same year.

After the Second World War, the first Alt-Herren-Convent in Oberhausen decided to continue the tradition of the Prussia. Good contacts with the Marksburgia led to the merger of the Bünde on November 15, 1953.

Comradeship Ernst-Moritz-Arndt 1936–1944

When the corporations were finally banned in 1936, the Landsmannschaft Salia , the Corps Agraria and the Landsmannschaft Marksburgia merged to form the comradeship of Ernst-Moritz-Arndt . The aim of this union was that the federal brothers stuck together in order to preserve the principle of the life union and the ideas of the country team and the students of weapons. The fact that Salia and Agraria had the same roots made this venture easier. Since some old gentlemen had enough influence, it was possible to keep many of the old traditions, so pubs could still be struck and even mensures could be fought.

In 1937 and 1938 the first comradeship leader was a German from abroad from the former German Southwest Africa : Georg Berend "Schorsch". Because of a brain tumor , he had to give up his agricultural studies and return to his parents' farm in South West Africa. He proposed Kurt Siering (born 1917) as his successor for the office (without his consent) and the NSDStB gave him the leadership of the comradeship for the summer semester of 1939. In reality, however, Evers led the comradeship while Siering was summoned to the central meetings of the student leadership.

With the outbreak of World War II , all reservists and conscripts were drafted. The camaraderie continued, because the NSDStB ordered the students to join the camaraderie when they enrolled. The Ernst-Moritz-Arndt comradeship was attractive because of the possibility of living and was occupied with students from Luxembourg in order to familiarize them with the Nazi ideology.

Prusso-Marksburgia 1953-1968

On the 85th birthday of honorary philistine Heinrich Menzel in 1958, a foundation was set up, the proceeds of which still benefit every federal student today. Aktivitas was dissatisfied with the name of the federal government, which was reduced to Prussia at the 92nd Foundation Festival in 1965. But even this measure did not bring the necessary wedge success, so that Prussia had to suspend on October 28, 1967 with only one active. Thereupon negotiations with the Salia ended on October 20, 1968 with the merger of the two groups. The proceeds from the sale of the Prussenhaus were donated to the Menzel Foundation.

Salia after World War II

Today's Landsmannschaft Salia zu Bonn in the CC was born in the winter semester of 1948/49. At this point in time, the agricultural university gave the impetus to form an active alliance from the groups Salia , Agraria / Rheinpreußen and Agronomia , which had the same origin. The old gentlemen chairmen of the three leagues took up this idea and decided to join forces on November 1, 1948. The “Natural Science-Agricultural Connection Salia” (NLV Salia) was formed from a group of seven like-minded students. She led the old Salia circle, the colors of the Agronomia and the cap and motto of the Agraria. For aesthetic reasons, however, their light blue hats were later exchanged for the white Salier hats. The principle of unconditional satisfaction was also revived.

1951 was created by merging the DL with the VC of the Coburg Convent, which the NLV Salia joined when it was founded. This meant giving up unconditional satisfaction. Since then the name has been: Landsmannschaft Salia zu Bonn in the CC . On October 20, 1968, the merger of Salia with the Bonner Landsmannschaft Prussia was sealed by a Festkommers. In 1989 Salia took over the presidency of the association for the second time. The activitas of the L! Salia continues the tradition of the gymnastics club Cimbria-Istaevonia Bonn, after the adjournment, numerous members also took the ribbon of the L! Salia up. In 2017 the 170th foundation festival was celebrated.
