Adolf Haller

Adolf Haller (born October 15, 1897 in Muhen , † September 21, 1970 in Lucerne , reformed , resident in Gontenschwil , from 1967 also in Turgi ) was a Swiss writer .

Life

Adolf Haller was born on October 15, 1897 as the son of the baker Rudolf Haller in Muhen. After training at the Wettingen teacher training college , he studied languages, history and geography at the Universities of Zurich , Bern and Geneva . As a result, he worked from 1920 to 1960 as a district school teacher in Turgi, and from 1934 also as a school inspector in the Baden district . Adolf Haller, who married Hermine, Christian Siegenthaler's daughter, in 1923, died in Lucerne on September 21, 1970, just before he was 73 years old.

Act

As a writer, Adolf Haller wrote several biographical accounts, including on Heinrich Pestalozzi , Albrecht von Haller and John F. Kennedy , games for school theater and books for young people . He also made a name for himself as the editor of Pestalozzi's works, published in 1946 under the title "Heinrich Pestalozzi's living work" in four volumes.
