Adolf Hildebrand (teacher)

Adolf Hildebrand (born May 17, 1835 in Magdeburg , † June 22, 1895 in Hildesheim ) was a German specialist teacher for agriculture and a successful textbook author .

Live and act

Adolf Hildebrand attended a high school in a monastery in Magdeburg , completed a practical apprenticeship in agriculture and studied at the Agricultural Institute in Berlin from 1851 . From 1871 to 1894 he worked as a specialist teacher for agriculture at the agricultural school ( Michelsenschule ) in Hildesheim .

Hildebrand became known nationwide as the author of agricultural handbooks and textbooks . In 1882 his " Textbook of agricultural animal production " was published, in 1889 his " Handbuch des agricultural plant cultivation " and in 1891 his " Grundriß des Allgemeine Acker- und Pflanzenbaues ", which was published twice later . Hildebrand also wrote smaller articles on all areas of agriculture for practice-oriented magazines.
