Adolf Klapp

Adolf Klapp (born January 24, 1834 in Sachsenberg , † January 1, 1925 in Bad Wildungen ) was a German judge and politician .

Klapp was the son of the Privy Councilor Ludwig Klapp and his wife Philippine Louise Wilhelmine Johanna nee Rube. On May 16, 1869, he married Lina Haas from Fritzlar .

Klapp attended grammar school in Korbach from 1848 to 1853 and studied law at the Universities of Göttingen and Heidelberg , where he took the exam in 1863. He became a lawyer and accessist in Arolsen . In 1867 he became a commissioner and in 1868 a district judge in Nieder-Wildungen. In 1869 he was magistrate there, in 1878 chief magistrate and in 1879 district judge. In 1907 he was honored with the title of a Privy Councilor of Justice. In 1913 the city of Bad Wildungen made him an honorary citizen .

From 1893 to 1908 he was a member of the state parliament of the Principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont for the constituency of Eder .
