Adolf Laser

Adolf Laser (born May 4, 1879 in Šternberk , Moravia , today the Czech Republic ; † June 7, 1942 in Krems an der Donau , Lower Austria ) was an Austrian politician ( SdP ).

Life

After six classes in elementary school and two classes in secondary school, Adolf Laser learned the trade of bookbinder from 1893 to 1897 . Laser was already involved in social democracy as a young man, when he was the editor of the red daily Volkswacht in Šumperk . As a journeyman, he also went on a journey that took him to Germany and Switzerland . At the beginning of the 20th century, Laser lived in Vorarlberg , where he became head of the SdP district party in Bregenz and was elected as a member of the SdP state party leadership.

After the end of the First World War , Laser came to Lower Austria , where he was elected SdP district party chairman for the Korneuburg district in Stockerau . He later also moved into the local council of Krems an der Donau. As in Moravia, Laser was also active as a journalist in Lower Austria when he became the publisher of the Volksbote , which was published in the Viennese district of Floridsdorf .

Laser accepted his first political mandate in September 1922 when he entered the Federal Council. He held his Federal Council mandate until May 1927. He then moved as a member of the National Council , where he initially represented the interests of his constituency from May 1927 to October 1930. After a two-month hiatus, Laser rejoined the National Council in December 1930. It remained so until February 1934.
