Adolf Martin Däumling

Adolf Martin Däumling (also Alf Däumling ; born February 12, 1917 in Munich ; † June 20, 2011 in Munich) was a German psychologist and university professor .

Däumling was born in 1944 with the dissertation Experimental Expression Drawing. A characterological investigation method at the University of Munich is doing his doctorate. From 1953 he was a conservator at the Psychological Institute of the University of Munich. In 1963 he accepted the call to the chair for clinical psychology at the Psychological Institute of the University of Bonn . He significantly influenced the founding of the Cologne Teaching Institute for Behavioral Therapy and was its honorary member. His research focus was group dynamics .

From 1956 to 1961 Däumling was president of the professional association of German psychologists .

The Däumling Institute for Further Education in Siegburg is named after him.
