Adolf Schmidt (doctor, 1841)
Adolf Schmidt (born December 14, 1841 in Celle ; † 1923 ) was a German psychiatrist .
Life
A native Celler Adolf Schmidt devoted himself to the put-away Abitur a study of medicine at the Universities of Göttingen , Würzburg and Tübingen , he with the state exam completed. After completing further training courses in Vienna and Prague , he held medical positions at the psychiatric institution in Osnabrück and at the private institution Emanuel Mendels in Pankow near Berlin .
In 1877 Schmidt moved to the insane asylum in Sorau in Niederlausitz as the second doctor , and in 1881 he was appointed director there. Adolf Schmidt, who in 1890 at the University of Göttingen to Dr. med. received his doctorate , was appointed to the Medical Council in 1897, was appointed to the Secret Medical Council in 1912 , held this position until his retirement in 1919.
