Adolf Sedlaczek

Adolf Sedlaczek (born September 21, 1877 in Groß Ullersdorf in today's Czech Republic; † January 18, 1964 in St. Pölten ) was an Austrian politician ( SDAPDÖ , later SPÖ ) and member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

Adolf Sedlaczek was born on September 21, 1877 in the Bohemian town of Groß Ullersdorf . After completing his apprenticeship as a locksmith, he hired the Austrian State Railways , where he was mainly employed as an electrician. In the course of time he was promoted to adjunct in St. Pölten and was involved in various workers' organizations.

After the First World War , Sedlaczek was elected a member of the joint state parliament of Lower Austria , which was the state parliament before Vienna was separated. After Vienna was declared a federal state , he remained in the state parliament of Lower Austria . He was represented in the first and second legislative periods of the Lower Austrian state parliament until 1932.

In 1934 Sedlacek was arrested as a member of the now banned SDAPÖ and taken to the Wöllersdorf detention center.

After the Second World War he became a city councilor in St. Pölten's first local council after the war and remained so until his resignation in 1955. There he died on January 18, 1964.
