List of the members of the Lower Austrian state parliament
This list of the members of the Lower Austria Land Parliament lists all members of the Lower Austria Land Parliament . The Lower Austria-Land Curia began its work on the basis of a federal constitutional law that came into force on November 10, 1920. The Federal Constitutional Act had stipulated the separation of Vienna from Lower Austria, which is why the Lower Austria-Land Curia and, in Vienna, the Vienna City Council took over the political-administrative business of self-administration for the period that followed until the two areas in Lower Austria were finally separated. The Lower Austria-Land Curia was in office between November 10, 1920 and May 11, 1921.
The 52 members of parliament who were elected in Lower Austrian constituencies VIII – XI on May 4, 1919 belonged to the state parliament. According to this, 26 seats in the newly formed curia were held by the Christian Social Party , 20 seats by the Social Democratic Workers' Party and 6 seats by the German Association. The German Association was an alliance of various German national groups, with 6 of the 5 mandates being held by the German nationalists (Birbaumer, Kittinger, Lump, Koppensteiner, List, Gasselich and Luger) and one mandate by the National Democrat Mittermann. The provincial government was subsequently made up of government members who did not come from Vienna's constituencies.
