List of Members of the Lower Austrian State Parliament (IX legislative period)

This list of the members of the Lower Austrian Parliament (IX. Legislative period) lists all members of the Lower Austrian Parliament during the IX. Legislative period, with the legislative period ranging from November 20, 1969 to June 9, 1974. After the state elections on October 19, 1969 , 30 of the 56 seats went to the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) and 26 seats to the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). The state parliament elected the state government Maurer II on November 20, 1969 . After several members of the state parliament had been sworn in to state councilors, they subsequently resigned from their mandates. Their successors were sworn in on December 4, 1969.

Functions

Landtag Presidium

The ÖVP politician Josef Robl was the first president of the state parliament presidium . The office of second president of the state parliament was initially taken over by the SPÖ member Anna Körner . After Körner's move to the state government, Franz Binder was elected her successor on May 8, 1970. The third president of the state parliament was Ferdinand Reiter .
