List of members of the Lower Austria state parliament (16th legislative period)
This list of MPs to the Lower Austrian State Parliament (XVI. Legislative period) (as of January 6, 2008) lists all former and active MPs to the Lower Austria State Parliament in the XVI. Legislative period (from 2003 to 2008). The constituent meeting of the Lower Austrian Landtag took place on April 24, 2003.
At this meeting, after the members of the state parliament had sworn in, the members of the Lower Austrian state government were elected. The members of the government subsequently renounced their mandates in the state parliament and were only members of the Lower Austrian state parliament for a short time during the session.
After the state elections in Lower Austria in 2003 on March 30, 2003, 31 of the 56 mandates went to the ÖVP , 19 to the SPÖ , 4 to the Greens and 2 to the FPÖ . Due to the small number of mandates, the FPÖ did not receive any club status. During the legislative period, a member of parliament left the FPÖ parliamentary group and joined the BZÖ. The next election took place on March 9, 2008 .
