Josef Prober

Josef Prober (born August 5, 1950 in Neunkirchen ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and regional manager. From 1993 to 2008 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

After primary and secondary school, Prober attended grammar school and, after graduating from high school, studied political science and sociology at the University of Vienna and received his doctorate in 1977. In the same year he joined the Austrian Farmers 'Union and between 1984 and 1989 was the director of the Vienna Farmers' Union. After that, Prober took on the role of regional manager for southern Lower Austria between 1990 and 2000. Prober was also active in the political arena as ÖVP district party chairman and represented the ÖVP in the state parliament between June 7, 1993 and April 10, 2008, after he had announced his retirement from politics in September 2007.

Prober is married and lives in Gloggnitz .
