Josef Jahrmann
Josef Jahrmann (born September 26, 1947 in Spitz ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 1986 to 2017 he was mayor of Loosdorf and from 1997 to 2013 a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .
Life
Jahrmann attended elementary school in Spitz, the Bundesrealgymnasium Krems and the teacher training institute there . From 1967 he worked as a teacher , in 1987 he became district school inspector for the district of Melk . He began his political career in 1980 as a local councilor in Loosdorf, where he became vice mayor in 1983 and finally mayor in 1986.
On November 27, 1997 ( XIVth legislative period ), Jahrmann replaced Helmut Wöginger as a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament. In the 2013 state elections , he decided not to run again; Günther Sidl took over his mandate .

- 2008: Great Silver Medal for Services to the Republic of Austria
- 2014: Silver Commander's Cross of Honor for Services to the State of Lower Austria
