Adolf Seeger

Adolf Seeger (born May 13, 1815 in Wildbad , † September 15, 1865 in Stuttgart ) was a German politician .

Life

Born as the son of a real-world teacher, Seeger studied law and philosophy in Tübingen after taking private lessons and attending high school in Stuttgart . During his studies he became a member of the Giovannia Tübingen fraternity in 1835 and was involved in the re-establishment of the Germania Tübingen fraternity in 1837 . Because of his union activity Burschenschaft he was several weeks in solitary confinement and was in 1839 by the University relegated . After his legal traineeship, he became an assistant and in 1839 an actuary at the Stuttgart City Court. He undertook long trips abroad, to Switzerland and from 1842 to 1843 to Paris . He became a provisional city judge in Stuttgart and then an actuary in Schwäbisch Hall . In 1844 he became an assessor at the upper tribunal in Stuttgart and a member of the government , later a member of the upper government council. In 1848 he was appointed city ​​director of Stuttgart by the March Ministry . In 1848 he became a member of the Württemberg state estates . In the People's Chamber he was one of the leaders of the left alongside Adolf Schoder . In 1849 he worked for the district government in Ludwigsburg and was transferred to the district government in Ellwangen in 1851 , which is why he quit his job and worked as a lawyer in Stuttgart. He was a member of the state assembly several times. After giving a speech to fraternities in 1851, an investigation into high treason was launched against him. In 1853 he was involved in founding the life insurance and savings bank in Stuttgart. In 1861 he became a member of the German National Association .

His brother was the politician and poet Ludwig Seeger .
