Adolf Stricker

Adolf Stricker (born September 24, 1942 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and teacher. Stricker was a member of the Federal Council and a member of the National Council .

Life

After compulsory school, Stricker attended the federal teacher training institute in St. Pölten and passed the teaching examination for elementary schools, secondary schools and for polytechnical courses. He then worked as a primary school teacher in the city of Haag and St. Pölten from 1961 to 1966 and was then a teacher at the Polytechnic School in St. Pölten from 1966 to 1974. He was appointed court councilor and in 1985 took over the office of executive president of the state school council for Lower Austria. At the end of 2006, Stricker retired.

From 1973 Stricker was chairman of the compulsory school teachers' group in the ÖAAB Lower Austria and represented the ÖVP in the Federal Council from November 4, 1983 to July 1, 1985. He was a member of the National Council from April 6, 1987 to November 4, 1990 and December 18, 1990.
