Adolfo Rodríguez Herrera
Adolfo Rodríguez Herrera (born April 9, 1924 in Minas , † May 10, 2003 ) was Archbishop of Camagüey .
Life
Adolfo Rodríguez Herrera was ordained a priest on July 18, 1948 .
John XXIII appointed him on May 27, 1963 auxiliary bishop in Camagüey and titular bishop of Tiberiopolis . The Archbishop of San Cristobal de la Habana , Evelio Diaz Cia , dedicated it on July 16 of the same year Bishop ; Co- consecrators were José Maximino Eusebio Domínguez y Rodríguez , Bishop of Matanzas , and Manuel Pedro Rodríguez Rozas , Bishop of Pinar del Río .
He attended the third and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council . Paul VI appointed him on September 10, 1964 Bishop of Camagüey. The Pope raised the diocese to an archbishopric on December 5, 1998 and was thus appointed Archbishop of Camagüey. On June 10, 2002, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
