Adolph Eduard Grube , also Adolf Eduard Grube (born May 18, 1812 in Königsberg (Prussia) , † June 28, 1880 in Breslau ) was a German zoologist.

Grube came from a family of lawyers and studied natural sciences in Königsberg from 1830, especially zoology and comparative anatomy with Karl Ernst von Baer and Friedrich Burdach . In 1834 he received his doctorate, habilitated in 1837 and 1843 as associate professor in Königsberg. In 1844 he moved to the University of Dorpat as professor of zoology and in 1857 he became professor of zoology at the University of Breslau as the successor to Johann Ludwig Christian Carl Gravenhorst . There he built the Zoological Museum.

He was particularly concerned with marine annelids (Annelida), especially polychaeta (polychaeta). He described many new species, some of which he collected himself in the Mediterranean or from other collections that he worked on (such as that of the Novara expedition ). In 1853 he coined the name Onychophora in the first fundamental work on Peripatus .

He was a Russian State Councilor and a member of the Leopoldina . In 1874 he was accepted as a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Saint Petersburg . He was a member of the Society of German Natural Scientists and Doctors .
