Adrian Schleich
Adrian Schleich (born December 7, 1812 in Munich ; † September 28, 1894 there ) was a German copper and steel engraver .
Life
He was the son of the engraver and inspector of the topographical bureau Johann Karl Schleich (1759–1842) and father of the landscape painter Robert Schleich (1845–1934).
Adrian Schleich studied from November 8, 1824 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich with Samuel Amsler .
Schleich created copper and steel engravings based on the models of Wilhelm von Kaulbach , Engelbert Seibertz and other artists, and also copied pictures by Raffael .
He also worked for the geographical publishing house of the Bibliographical Institute in Hildburghausen .
