Adriana Ugarte
Adriana Sofía Ugarte Pardal (born January 17, 1985 in Madrid ) is a Spanish actress .
Life
The then 16-year-old Adriana Ugarte made her film debut in 2001 in the short film Mala espina , directed by Belén Macías, for which she received an award for her performance at the Alcalá de Henares Short Film Festival . She attended courses in philosophy , dance and acting at different schools. She worked in series like Policías or Hospital Central . She had her first leading role in 2006 in the film Dog Head (Cabeza de perro) directed by up-and-coming director Santi Amodeo, for which she received a nomination for the Goya Award for Best Young Actress.
She became known in 2008 for her participation in the television series La Señora , in which she embodied the main character. In the same year she also got the lead role in the film El juego del ahorcado . In 2009 she starred in the film Castillos de cartón ( Castles in the Air ). In 2015 she worked with Pedro Almodóvar for the first time , for whom she shared the female lead with Emma Suárez in Julieta .
