Adriano João

Adriano João (born November 1, 1953 in Lolotoe , Portuguese Timor ), battle name Bere Mali , is a politician from East Timor , member of the Partido Democrático (PD) and party leader of the PD in the municipality of Bobonaro .

João graduated from secondary school in 1987. In Bobonaro he was secretary of the resistance zone in the war against the Indonesian occupation.

On March 1, 2011 he was appointed to replace Vital dos Santos in the National Parliament of East Timor . In the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2012 , João immediately made it into parliament on list position 8 of the PD. In Parliament he was a member of the Public Finance Commission (Commission C) and deputy group leader. In the 2017 elections , João failed at number 58 on the PD list and thus left parliament.

João is a holder of the Order of Nicolau Lobato Second Degree and the Gold Medal of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste .
