Adrienne Fichter (* 1984 ) is a Swiss political scientist and editor for the online magazine Republik .

Life

Adrienne Fichter completed a master's degree in political science , economic and social history and constitutional law at the University of Zurich .

In 2009, Fichter set up the web startup politnetz.ch as co-founder and community manager , which won the Data Journalism Award in 2012 and the Grimme Online Award in 2013 . From 2012 to 2014 she worked as a social media editor at the credit agency Orell Füssli Wirtschaftsinformationen (now CRIF AG ). She then worked from 2014 to 2016 as the social media editor-in-chief at the Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) .

Fichter works as a lecturer and speaker at the University of Applied Sciences St. Gallen and the University of Zurich. In 2017 she published the book Smartphone-Demokratie at the publishing house NZZ Libro , in which she also worked as a co-author. In 2018, she took second place in the category Society Journalist of the Year, in which the readers of the specialist journal Schweizer Journalist have an annual say.
